The response of citizens for their vaccination for seasonal flu is satisfactory in relation to vaccination against COVID disease, which is also reduced this year, said the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health Elizabeth Constantinou, noting that about 110,000 citizens have already been vaccinated.
As Mrs. Constantinou stated in her statements at the Limassol hospital, during the visit of the Minister of Health Neophytos Charalambides, in particular, so far about 110,000 citizens have been vaccinated, 75% of vulnerable groups have already received the vaccine. "I would like to encourage citizens, those who want to be vaccinated with the flu vaccine, to contact personal doctors and to do so, those who want to be vaccinated with the vaccine against COVID disease, to visit the Vaccination Centers of the Ministry of Health," said Ms. Konstantinidou.
At the same time, as he mentioned, patient admissions to public and private hospitals have doubled in recent days, while admissions to intensive care units remain at the expected levels for the time being.
