SMART TOURISM - SMART DESTINATION

Participation of the Pafos Regional Board of Tourism (ETAP) in the 2nd Partners’ Meeting of the project in Jesolo, Italy

The Pafos Regional Board of Tourism (PRBT) is currently participating in the 2nd Partners’ (Steering Group) Meeting and Thematic Workshop of the European project Smart Tourism – Smart Destinations, taking place on 18–19 November 2025 in the city of Jesolo, Veneto Region, Italy.

The project focuses on promoting smart and sustainable tourism destinations through actions that enhance accessibility, sustainability, digital transformation, and cultural tourism and creativity.

During the meeting, the progress of the project will be presented, planned activities up to 2026 will be discussed, and issues related to management, communication, and financial coordination will be examined.

In parallel, within the framework of the thematic workshop, good practices will be presented by the partners, along with knowledge transfer and policy tools that will support the sustainable development of tourism destinations.

The participation of Pafos Tourism Board forms part of its ongoing effort to strengthen the digital and green transition of tourism businesses and the destination as a whole, while promoting the Pafos region as a model “smart and sustainable destination” at the European level.

The SMART TOUR project involves 10 European partners from Italy, France, Germany, Hungary, Greece, Romania, Albania, Ukraine, Belgium and Cyprus. 80% is financed by the European Union and the duration of the program is 36 months.

The Pafos Regional Board of Tourism is expected to absorb funds of up to €200,000.
