With great success and in the presence of a large number of people, the established Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony took place last night in Kennedy Square, officially marking the beginning of the brightest and most festive period of the year for the city of Paphos.
The Christmas Parade, which started from the First Lyceum of Ethnarch Makarios III and ended in Kennedy Square, gave the starting signal to the festive atmosphere. The Philharmonic of the Municipality of Paphos, the cheerleaders of the Konstantina Hadjieftychiou Dance Academy, the School of Fine Arts, the Jake Athanasiades Danceroom and the Paphos Music School offered an impressive spectacle, while the beloved "Bus of Love" made its appearance again, attracting everyone's interest.
The Lighting of the Christmas Tree was performed by the Mayor of Paphos, Mr. Phedonas Phedonos, in the presence of the Members of the Municipal Council.
A rich artistic program was presented, while Christmas houses with traditional delicacies and mulled wine operated in the Square, enhancing the festive mood and offering everyone a complete experience.
