CLOUDFLARE PROBLEM 'DROPPED' X, CHATGPT and websites - THOUSANDS OF USERS WITHOUT ACCESS

 Filenews 18 November 2025

A problem with Cloudflare is due to the fact that X, ChatGPT and many websites "fell" on Tuesday (18/11) with thousands of users from around the world not having access to their accounts.

Visitors to sites like X, formerly known as Twitter, ChatGPT, movie review site Letterboxd, and other sites saw an error message indicating that Cloudflare's issues meant the page couldn't be displayed.

Cloudflare is an internet infrastructure that offers many of the core technologies that power online platforms. This includes tools that protect websites from cyberattacks and ensure they stay connected amid heavy traffic, for example.

"Cloudflare is aware of and is investigating an issue that potentially affects multiple customers," the company said in a new update. "More details will be provided as more information becomes available."

Cloudflare provides its internet infrastructure services to companies around the world, usually in a way that is invisible to users. Hence, a wide range of seemingly disjointed websites went down due to the problem.
