The Ministry of Transport has made a new announcement regarding the students of Primary Education and the work stoppage of teachers, which will not take place tomorrow but on November 26.
"Following our announcement yesterday and based on the latest information from the POED that the work stoppage of Primary Education teachers will not take place tomorrow, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works informs that the school routes serving Primary Education will be executed normally on Wednesday, November 19, 2025."
It is reminded that, due to the work stoppage of Secondary and Technical Education teachers, from 07:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. there will be no morning transport routes for Secondary and Technical Education students. The midday return services will be operated normally.
The announcement of POED
The Executive Board of POED, in today's session and evaluating the data so far, decided to announce a work stoppage of the members of POED on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:05 a.m.
Unfortunately, and despite all the efforts made on the part of POED, a Piece of Legislation that is not the product of an agreement between the Ministry of Education and the POED comes before the Education Committee of the Parliament for discussion and voting for the third time. Therefore, the reaction on the part of POED is a one-way street, with the responsibility falling exclusively on the Ministry of Education, which insists and proceeds to submit to the Parliament an unagreed Piece of Legislation.
