Pafos Press 7 November 2025
A sit-in protest is being held next Sunday, November 9th from 10:00-11:00 am by the residents of the Anarita community in Paphos, demanding answers about the unjustified delays observed in the completion of the renovation projects in the center of the village.
The residents protested three weeks ago about the same issue and make it clear that their intention is, if they do not receive satisfactory answers, to intensify the reaction measures. After the announcement, see statements that followed the previous protest.
Specifically, in their announcement they state the following:
Three weeks later and we are still in complete ignorance about the main road. No information from the Community Council, no information from the District Administration despite daily phone calls. The time has come to make a real protest and prove that the solution of silence may be our only hope to save what we have.
This Sunday, November 9, 2025 between 10am and 11am, sit-in protest outside the offices of the Anarita Community Council. Make banners, prepare your complaints, propose solutions and let us demonstrate in practice our indignation against a State that is dangerously ill.
Our issues are many beyond the Street and only if we unite as a Community, will we be able to “maybe” be heard by the Competent Authorities.
