The Department of Road Transport in a statement issued today informs that, according to information received by the company CIC Automasters, the manufacturer Opel/Vauxhall has recalled due to defective Takata passenger airbags for 2.123 vehicles, with an instruction from the manufacturer to the owners for their immediate satisfaction.
It is added that as a result of the above, the Department of Road Transport has proceeded to revoke the certificate of suitability of the vehicles in question.
"The owners of the vehicles are invited to contact the distributor of the manufacturer, which in Cyprus is the company CIC Automasters, for further instructions," the announcement concludes.
