STORM BARBARA TO AFFECT ISLAND FROM TUESDAY EVENING

The barometric low named "BARBARA" and centered in Central Greece is moving east and is expected to affect the island from Tuesday evening.

Today, locally increased cloudiness will be observed at intervals. Winds will blow mainly southwest to northwest, initially light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and later moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough and locally in the west and north to rough. The temperature will rise to around 29 degrees in the interior, the south and east coasts, around 27 on the west and north coasts and to 21 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, locally increased cloudiness will be observed at intervals. Winds will initially blow southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, later becoming mainly northwest to northeast light, 3 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. The temperature will drop to 17 degrees inland, around 18 on the coast and to 9 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Tuesday, the weather will be partly cloudy while in the evening local rains and isolated storms are expected, initially in the west and gradually in other areas of the island. On Wednesday and Thursday, local rains and isolated storms are expected at intervals.

The temperature will gradually drop slightly until Thursday, to fluctuate below average climatic values.
