MEETING OF COSME AND ERASMUS+ EUROPEAN PROJECT PARTNERS IN PAFOS
Partners of the European projects SMARTIES for SMEs and I-DEMO are expected to be in Pafos during the week of 7–10 October as part of the implementation of their respective project activities.
The COSME project “SMARTIES for SMEs”, funded 100% by the European Union, involves eight partners from Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Slovenia, Greece, and Cyprus. The 36-month project, with a budget exceeding €3 million, aims to enhance the competitiveness of tourism SMEs through capacity building, the twin green and digital transition, and the promotion of sustainability and service quality.
In Pafos, a Networking Workshop on various thematic areas and a partners’ meeting will take place on 7–8 October 2025. https://smartiesforsmes.eu/
Immediately afterward, on 9–10 October, the I-DEMO project partners will meet. This Erasmus+project, 85% co-funded by the European Union, focuses on improving destination management through digital strategies and gamification methods.
The project involves nine partners from seven countries, runs for 27 months, and has a total budget of €400,000. Pafos Regional Board of Tourism will utilize approximately €38,000 for training, participation in workshops, and digital skills development activities, emphasizing innovative tourism and enhancing the visitor experience. https://www.i-demo.eu/
Through its active participation in such projects, Pafos Regional Board of Tourism continues to strengthen the image of the destination, gain expertise, and implement smart and sustainable tourism initiatives. These efforts support local entrepreneurship, foster networking and innovation, and leverage digital and other tools to enhance the region’s tourism offering.
