The third and final stage of a strategic planning that began with the construction of the Building of the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Entrepreneurship Management of CUT and continued with the construction of the Student Dormitory of the Municipality of Paphos, is now being launched in order to further improve the services provided to the students of the academic institution, but also to further upgrade the wider area in terms of social benefits and aesthetics image.
This policy is marked by the signing last July of the contract for the configuration of 33 adjacent open spaces owned by Turkish Cypriots, in sports facilities and green areas and parking, in order to meet the needs of the students of CUT Paphos. The Contract is worth €2.2 million, with an estimated implementation time of 10 months.
The project will be a comprehensive proposal for the aesthetic, functional and qualitative upgrade of the area, but also of the city in general, while it comes to complement and complete a wider plan for the upgrading of the area in which both the Student Dormitory and the School of CUT, as well as the specific free spaces, are incorporated.
The officials of the academic institution also express satisfaction with the strategic planning for the upgrading of the wider area around the CUT in Paphos. The President of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the School of CUT in Paphos, Associate Professor Antonis Theocharous, spoke of another important moment in the dynamic relationship of the University with the city of Paphos. Together with the Municipality, Professor Theocharous stressed, we can shape a new identity for the city, an identity based on learning, innovation and perspective.
The design includes square areas, benches, open sports facilities, a playground with games and landscaped parking spaces.
