The Charalambides Christis dairy industry issued a statement today regarding the problem that occurred in recent days in its production line and resulted in the milk reaching consumers having a shorter shelf life compared to the indicated expiration date.

According to the company, the cause of the problem has been identified and the issue has been rectified. In addition, Charalambides Christis emphasizes that she "fully understands the concerns of consumers and sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused as well as for the delay observed in informing the public".

It is also important that the dairy industry assures that the safety of consumers was never compromised, as the raw material of its products was completely safe and no microbiological or other risks to public health were identified.

The company Charalambides Christis responsibly informs the public that after thorough checks at all stages of milk production and distribution, the cause of the problem that led to a differentiation in the shelf life of a limited number of packages of fresh milk has been identified and the issue has been rectified.

The company fully understands the concerns of consumers and sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused as well as the delay observed in informing the public. This was due to the complexity of the investigation of the issue, as it was found after multiple inspections carried out by the company's Quality Control and Quality Assurance Departments in collaboration with the Veterinary Services of the state, the problem was due to technical instability of part of the pasteurization equipment, which resulted in affecting the shelf life of fresh milk with a two-liter package number.

Charalambides Christis assures that the safety of consumers was never compromised, as the raw material of its products was completely safe and no microbiological or other risks to public health were identified. At the same time, it points out that control procedures have been further strengthened to ensure that a similar incident does not happen again.
