PAPHOS AIRPORT - PROBLEMS RECOGNISED

 Pafos Live 3 September 2025

Both the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and the airport management company have acknowledged that what happened in August, with the long delays in the collection of passengers' luggage, should not be repeated.

In letters to the tourism consultant Michalis Demosthenous, who had highlighted the problem, they note that the delay in the delivery of luggage was due to a reduced number of ground handling company personnel. This reduced staffing has substantially affected the timely handling and delivery of baggage to the arriving passengers, as it is emphasized.

They also inform that the Regional Managers of the company have arrived in Cyprus for control, management and coordination in order to solve these problems.

Also, the company's personnel, as revealed yesterday by CyBC, are transferred from other countries to Paphos Airport and in addition this is reinforced with personnel from Larnaca Airport.
