The Fire Service has completed its report on the causes of the deadly fire in mountainous Limassol and is preparing the final report that will be delivered to the Police.
Speaking to CyBC radio, the spokesperson of the Service, Andreas Kettis, said that the Committee that examined the case, evaluating testimonies, testimonies and an autopsy at the scene, came to the conclusion that it is possible that the fire was set maliciously.
According to Mr. Kettis, the conclusion of the American experts also states that it cannot be excluded that the fire was caused by the use, placement or disposal of cigarette butts. However, it is noted that due to the lack of testimonies, the scenario of malicious action is also left open.
Mr. Kettis pointed out that point zero is very close to the garbage dump and this is also mentioned in the report of the American experts.
