BAYERN'S BUS RELEASED

 Filenews 26 September 2025

The luxurious Bayern bus and the vans intended for the television production of the Pafos FC – Bayern match (2nd matchday of the League Phase of the Champions League, Tuesday 30/9) remained stranded for a while at the port of Limassol, but were cleared with special permission from the competent authorities. As the Customs Agents Association clarifies on philenews.com, a member of the Customs Agents Association was allowed to undertake the customs clearance of both the Bayern Munich team bus and the vans of the television crews that will cover the match between Pafos FC and the German team. This was stated in statements to Filenews by the President of the Customs Agents Association, Christos Akaros, in relation to the issue that arose with the transfer of the Bayern bus from the port, noting that “we gave the order to allow the exit from the port. We allowed our member to proceed with customs clearance, so that no problems whatsoever arise”. He added that clear instructions were given so that the team’s customs officer could be informed and the process could proceed normally. “We told them to proceed with the necessary documents to complete the temporary import process. There was no obstacle on our part. We allowed customs clearance precisely so that there would be no delay or problem”. Despite the minor inconvenience, there was not the slightest problem for the Bayern people and the television crews who arrived in Cyprus, in view of this historic match. The German team's delegation will arrive in Cyprus on Monday 29/09 and will not train on Cypriot soil. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany will speak to the press at 19:45 that same evening.
