The first trial tour of the new Sea and Culture Museum Polis Latsi took place yesterday before officially opening its doors to the public on September 2, 2025, according to the Mayor of Polis Chrysochous Yiotis Papachristofis.
"The pioneering Museum of the Sea and Culture is a space dedicated exclusively to maritime history and maritime culture, which has flourished over time in Cyprus," says Mr. Papachristofi in a statement.
He adds that "through unique exhibits, projections and interactive experiences with the use of virtual and augmented reality technology, the visitor actively participates in a multidimensional journey through the marine heritage of the island, focusing on the area of Akamas". The exhibition narrative is presented with a modernized approach, combining art, science and technology, offering an interesting experiential experience to young and old.
