The imaginative and original children’s song collection The Lazy Dragon by George Hadjipieris has won over the hearts of children and grown-ups alike. Beloved highlights from this collection will be interpreted by the distinguished singers Giorgis Christodoulou and Eleonora Rousou, accompanied by Children’s choirs of Lefkosia and Pafos primary schools.
The story titled “The Ugly Prince” was written by Galateia Kazantzaki, first wife of Nicos Kazantzakis, which teaches a great truth: that a person’s beauty lies not in physical appearance, but in the kindness of the heart. Conductor and composer Alkis Baltas has arranged the text as well as curated the incidental music to the tale. The music comprises his own composition “Wind passages” as well as Franz Schubert’s German Dance (arr. A. Webern) and his “Unfinished” Symphony no. 8 in B minor. The story is narrated by Eleonora Rousou.
