The Department of Road Transport informs the public that, according to data from the Consumer Protection Agency, in week 34 of 2025, dangerous non-food products were notified through the European Safety Gate Early Warning System (RAPEX).
Interested parties can find detailed information about each product on the Safety Gate (ec.europa.eu/safety-gate-alerts) website, using the alert number.
The Department of Road Transport invites manufacturers, dealers, distributors, importers and sellers who may have placed such products on the Cypriot market to inform the Department and to take all necessary measures for their recall, as stipulated by law.
Instructions for consumers
Those who own cars or motorcycles included in the notifications should contact the manufacturer or dealer for instructions.
For accessories, consumers are asked to immediately stop using them and return them to the point of purchase, informing the seller.
If a manufacturer or dealer refuses to respond, consumers can submit a written complaint to the Consumer Protection Service via the consumer.gov.cy website.
