Finally, the fellow prisoner of Chidan and Bandur at the time of the crime, Reza Mohammadan, was also convicted of two counts of possession of methamphetamine and supplying it to the convicted of premeditated murder.

In yesterday's proceedings, the interest focused on the speech of the defense counsel of Kyriakides and Christos, Ilias Stefanou. He referred, among other things, to the correspondence between moral culpability and the result, noting that it is not an offence committed intentionally or recklessly.

He also stressed that the prison guards will return as prisoners to the Central Prisons "with obvious dangers and adverse consequences". He did not fail to speak about the dysfunction of the entire system in the Prisons, while he also cited a violation of the principle of equality, mentioning that there is evidence of neglect of official duty by other prison guards both before and after the shift of the accused.
