President Christodoulides held a meeting with U.S. experts on the investigations into the deadly Limassol fire.
In detail, the announcement:
The President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, received today, at the Presidential Palace, the team of American experts of the ATF Service on fire issues, who are investigating the causes of the devastating fires in the Limassol district.
Welcoming the group, the President of the Republic, among other things, thanked the U.S. Government for its immediate, positive response to the Republican Government's request for assistance on the issue of fires, adding that this issue is a common challenge.

He noted that the situation will worsen, highlighting what is taking place, especially in southern Europe.
''The situation is going to get worse and worse, so we need to be ready, and we're glad we're working together with the U.S. government."
He added that immediately after taking office, the Cypriot Government cooperated with the FBI to address another challenge, noting that bilateral cooperation concerns many sectors, such as politics, economy, trade, security and others, noting that cooperation will continue and be strengthened.

He also pointed out that the Cypriot Government is ready to listen to the experts and their findings.
On the part of the American experts, their very good cooperation with the Authorities of the Republic was emphasized and the hope was expressed that their findings will shed light on the issue of investigating the causes of the fires in order to deal with any future challenges.
