The list of the strongest passports for 2025 was published by the Henley Index. The index records 199 passports and 227 destinations. In the list, countries are ranked based on the destinations that the passport holder can travel to without the need for a visa.
In the first 2 places of the Henley Passport Index there are three Asian countries: Singapore first and Japan and South Korea tied in 2nd place, which you can travel visa-free to 193 and 190 countries, respectively.
The Cyprus passport ranks 12th, up from 14th last year, and provides its holder with access to 178 visa-free countries and 48 visa-free countries.
In 3rd place are seven European countries: Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain.
In 4th place are passports from Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden.
Greece, New Zealand and Switzerland close the 5th round with a draw.
The biggest increase in the world this year was the Indian passport, which climbed 8 places and ranked 77th. Indian nationals can now travel to 59 countries without a visa.
