High temperatures, with a maximum reaching 41 degrees inland, are expected today, while the risk level of forest fires explosion and spread is at "Red Alert".
The Meteorology Department has issued a yellow warning which is valid from 12 noon to 5 pm.
The maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 41 degrees in inland areas and around 32 in the higher mountains.
At the same time, according to the Department of Forestry, the risk of forest fires exploding and spreading will remain at "Red Alert" level today.
A warm appeal is made to the public to be particularly careful, completely avoiding actions and activities that may cause a fire.
In case anyone notices smoke or fire, they are asked to immediately call 1407 (Forestry Department) or 112 (Fire Department).
