The budgets of the EDAs have been adopted. For the EDA of Nicosia, the payment of an amount of €126,276,218 was approved for the financial year ending 31 December 2025, for the EDA of Limassol in the amount of €117,869,395, for the EDA of Larnaca in the amount of €123,144,607, for the EDA of Paphos in the amount of €42,792,680 and for the EDA of Famagusta in the amount of €56,190,088.
At the same time, the Parliament approved the amendment of the Law on EDCs and Communities, in order to revise some of its provisions, in order to make their implementation more effective in terms of the operation and financial independence of newly established organizations and communities and newly established community service clusters.
The budget of the Paphos EDA is in deficit by €3,847,708, provides for expenditures of €36,880,101 and revenues of €33,032,393, while no provision for taxation has been included. The budget of the EDA of Nicosia and Larnaca is also marginally in deficit, while only the budget of the EDA Limassol is in surplus. The budget of the Famagusta EDA provides for expenditures of €31,220,023 and revenues of €37,260,425.
