Sections of the Nicosia-Limassol, Nicosia-Larnaca and Paphos-Limassol motorways will be closed, due to overnight works, which will be carried out tonight, Tuesday, 03 June, with the Police recommending special attention to passing vehicle drivers.
On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, works will be carried out at the junction with the motorway to Larnaca, from 9.00 p.m. to 5.30 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, June 04. During the works, all three lanes of traffic in the direction to Limassol will be closed and traffic will be diverted to the corresponding section of the motorway in the direction to Nicosia, which will operate in both directions.
Due to the works, the exit to Larnaca (A2 Motorway) will also remain closed, with traffic traffic to Larnaca being channelled through the exit to Alhambra.
According to an announcement from the Department of Public Works, the works will be carried out for asphalt paving purposes on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway.
Works will also be carried out tonight on the Paphos-Limassol motorway, in the section from Pissouri to Paramali, from 8.00 p.m. to 5.30 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, June 04.
During the works, both lanes of the motorway in the direction of Limassol, at a distance of about three kilometers, will be partially closed and traffic will be diverted to the corresponding section of the motorway in the direction to Paphos, which will operate with two-way traffic.
According to an announcement from the Department of Public Works, the works began on May 27, 2025 and will continue until the evening of next Thursday, June 05, to be completed at 5.30 in the morning of Friday, June 06. They are being carried out for the maintenance of the highway pavement.
The Police recommends caution to passing vehicle drivers, who are asked to drive their vehicles at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front, and comply with the temporary road signs in the area of road works.
