Celebrating local life, tradition and of course Cypriot wine is the annual Limassol Wine Festival – a highly-anticipated event for Limassolians. This year it will return to the heart of the city towards the end of summer.
Age-old local celebrations centred around wine, dozens of local wine exhibitors, food and cultural events will take over the Limassol Municipal Gardens from September 27 to October 5. This will be the 64th edition of the festival and its organisers are getting ready to welcome visitors of all ages, local residents and tourists. Limassol Municipality is also accepting proposals for musical, theatrical, and folklore events to be featured during the festival. Its cultural programme typically involves concerts and theatre performances at the Municipal Garden Theatre Marios Tokas, concerts by small ensembles in front of the big Cypriot man statue (Vrakas) and small musical performances in restaurants.
