A serious incident occurred yesterday in Anarita, Paphos, when a fire broke out in a truck and a small excavator of a plant company, while a tank of petroleum products was also affected.
According to an announcement by the Fire Service, yesterday around 13:04, a fire broke out in a truck and a small excavator, which were parked in an open area of a plant company in Anarita, Paphos.
The vehicles suffered extensive damage from the fire. The fire was extinguished with the use of water pipes and with the assistance of a private excavator.
The fire seems to have started in a pile of plastic containers – pots and spread to vehicles and then to another pile of plastic containers.
An oil tanker was also slightly affected.
Two manned fire trucks from a Paphos fire station responded.
