The Cybercrime Sub-Directorate informs citizens that scams through SMS messages continue. Specifically, skilful people send SMS messages, falsely pretending to be a cryptocurrency exchange company, asking citizens to immediately contact the phone indicated in the suspicious message.
The Police inform the public again that this is a fraud and that the messages are fake. The public is urged to be especially careful and not to respond in case of receiving such a message.
Use two-factor security for all their online accounts and NEVER hand over their passwords and access details to any third party.
