Larnaca-Famagusta Motorway During the period 02/04/2025 – 13/06/2025, excluding weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30-14:30, pruning and watering works will be carried out on the slopes of the Larnaca Airport-Paralimni motorway, in both directions, by the Forestry Department. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed, in sections of 300 meters at a time. Traffic will not be affected.

Limassol-Nicosia Motorway Overnight asphalt paving works on Monday and Tuesday [26 and 27 May] will be carried out on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, as follows: On Monday 26/05/2025 from 21:00 at night until 05:30 the next morning, asphalt paving works will be carried out at the motorway exit to the GSP in the direction from Limassol to Nicosia. Drivers wishing to head towards Latsia or Strovolos are advised to use the next Strovolos Industrial Interchange. During the works, all lanes of the motorway will remain open. On Tuesday 27/05/2025 from 21:00 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the next day, asphalt paving works will be carried out at the exit of the motorway to the GSP from Nicosia in the direction of Limassol. Drivers wishing to head from Nicosia to Latsia are urged to use the previous Strovolos Industrial Interchange or the next Megalou Alexandrou Interchange. During the works, all lanes of the motorway will remain open. Nicosia Perimeter Motorway Nicosia-Kokkinotrimithia Motorway Limassol Bypass On the Limassol bypass road and the Paphos-Limassol motorway, the Department of Forestry will carry out maintenance work on the trees and shrubs of the central island, during which the right lane in both directions will be closed for approximately 1500 m and traffic will be diverted to the slow lane. The works will be carried out as follows: (a) On the section from Erimis junction to Petra tou Romiou during the period 26/05/2025 – 29/07/2025 daily except weekends and public holidays between the hours of 07:00 – 15:00 (b) On the section from the Germasogeia roundabout to the Agios Athanasios roundabout on Saturday 31/05/2025 between the hours of 06:00 – 13:00 (c) On the section of the Paphos – Limassol motorway, from Erimis junction to the new Port roundabout on Sunday 01/06/25 between the hours of 06:00 – 13:00 Motorway Limassol-Paphos On the highway, in the Kouklia area near Petra tou Romiou in both directions, from Monday 19/05/2025 until Friday 30/05/2025, excluding weekends, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, cleaning work will be carried out on the shoulder. During the work, the left lane will be partially closed and traffic will be diverted to the right lane of the highway. Periodic road maintenance work will be carried out on the section of the motorway from Paramali to Pissouri, in the direction of Paphos, from Tuesday 20/05/2025 to Thursday 29/05/2025, between the hours of 20:00 in the evening and 05:30 in the morning of the next day, except Fridays and weekends. During the work, both lanes of the motorway in the direction of Paphos will be closed in sections for a length of approximately 3 km and traffic will be diverted to the opposite direction, which will operate in two-way traffic. On the Paphos-Limassol motorway and the Limassol bypass road, the Department of Forestry will carry out maintenance work on the trees and shrubs of the central island, during which the right lane in both directions will be closed for a length of approximately 1500 m and traffic will be diverted to the slow lane. The work will be carried out as follows: 26/05/2025 – 29/07/2025 daily except weekends and public holidays between the hours of 07:00 – 15:00(a) On the section from Erimis junction to Petra tou Romiou during the period (b) On the section from the Germasogeia roundabout to the Agios Athanasios roundabout on Saturday 31/05/2025 between the hours of 06:00 – 13:00 (c) On the section of the Paphos – Limassol motorway, from the Erimi junction to the New Port roundabout on Sunday 01/06/25 between the hours of 06:00 – 13:00 On both directions of the Limassol-Paphos motorway, from Monday 26/05/2025 to Thursday 26/06/2025 daily except On weekends and public holidays, between the hours of 08:30-15:00, grass cutting works will be carried out on the shoulders and slopes. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed in sections. Traffic will be carried out unhindered in the traffic lanes. On the section of the Limassol-Paphos motorway, between the exit to Kantou and the exit to Sotira, in the direction of Paphos, on Tuesday 27/05/2025, between the hours of 07:30 - 16:00, bridge inspection and maintenance works will be carried out. During the works, the two lanes from Limassol to Paphos will be closed to traffic, in a section of approximately 4 km. in length. Traffic on the motorway will be diverted to the opposite traffic flow, which will operate with two-way traffic. Nicosia District In Lakatamia, works will be carried out on Tseriou Avenue and Strovolos Street, from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue to Pefkou Street, from Friday 12/05/2023 and for a period of 20 months, as part of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos Avenues and a section of Tseriou Avenue and Strovolos Street. At the same time, during the same period, as part of the reconstruction of Ippokratous Avenue, Themistokleous Street and Areos Avenue will be closed from their intersection with Themistokleous Street to Nikaias Street and Kentavrou Street respectively. In Lakatamia, as part of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous Avenue, from Friday 07/02/2025 at 11:00 in the morning, and for a period of approximately 4 months, part of Karavostasiou Street will be temporarily closed to traffic, from its junction with Agiou Amvrosiou Street to its junction with Ippokratous Avenue. All movements to and from Ippokratous Avenue will be via Vatylis Street. Traffic from Themistokleous Street to Ippokratous Avenue and vice versa will be via Nikaias Street. In Lakatamia and Strovolos, as part of the works being carried out on Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos, Tseriou, and Strovolos avenues, from Wednesday 07/05/2025 at 11:00 in the morning and for a period of approximately 5 months, the intersection of Georgiou Anagnostopoulou Street with Tseriou Avenue will be closed. During this period, traffic to and from Tseriou Avenue will be conducted via Georgiou Iona Street, where a photo-controlled intersection will operate to regulate traffic. In Lakatamia and Strovolos, also in the context of the works being carried out on Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos, and Tseriou avenues, from Tuesday 27/05/2025 at 10:00 in the morning, and for a period of approximately 6 months, the traffic light-controlled intersection of Tseriou avenue with Theofilou Georgiadis street is being abolished and part of Theofilou Georgiadis street will be temporarily closed to traffic, up to its intersection with Ergatikattas street. All movements from Theofilou Georgiadis street to and from Tseriou avenue will be made via the temporary traffic light-controlled intersection with Vasilissis Amalias street. Also in Lakatamia, at the photo-controlled intersection of Pantelis Katelaris – Agios Dimitrianou streets, on Tuesday 27/05/2025, from 20:30 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning, removal and resurfacing works of the existing road surface will be carried out. Drivers heading from Lakatamia to Nicosia are urged to use Archbishop Makariou Street for their journeys. Drivers heading from Nicosia to Lakatamia are urged to use Omirou, Protagorou and Agios Dimitrianou streets for their journeys. In Agios Dometios, for the construction of the new road network at the crossing point from the free to the occupied areas, near Dimokratias Street, on Saturday, 24/05/2025, throughout the day, asphalt paving works will be carried out on the new traffic lane that is under construction, parallel to Dimokratias Street, towards and through the crossing point, from the height of the intersection of Dimokratias Avenue with Ippodromion Street and the intersection with Thali Street. Also in Agios Dometios, at the photo-controlled intersection of Dimokratias - Grigoris Afxentiou Streets, on Monday 26/05/2025 from 20:30 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning, removal and resurfacing works of the existing road surface will be carried out. Drivers are urged to use Kifisias, Grigoris Afxentiou, Eteokleous and Ammos streets for their travel.
In Nicosia and Aglantzia, within the framework of the project “Improvement of Famagusta Avenue in Nicosia”, works lasting 24 months are being carried out from 20 February 2025, which are expected to be completed by 22 February 2027. Specifically, they include Famagusta Avenue from its junction with Kalavryton Street to the Sopaz roundabout, approximately 1.7 km long. and a secondary road network approximately 0.8 km long, consisting of a section of Kalavryton, Paphos, Madaris and Semelis streets.
As part of the “Improvement of Famagusta Avenue in Nicosia” Project, the following traffic regulations will be in place from 24/04/2025 to 12/12/2025:
Kalavryton Street at its junction with Famagusta will be closed. Drivers are asked to use Faliro Street to get to Sopaz roundabout. Drivers are asked to use Terpsichoris Street to get to Larnaca Avenue.
Pafos Street will also be closed to traffic. Drivers using this road to get to the area are asked to use Gogou Paraskevaidi Street, which is parallel to Pafos Street and was specifically constructed for this purpose. Residents of the Pafos Street area who want to travel towards Larnaco Avenue are requested to use Kantaras Street, while those who want to travel towards the Sopaz roundabout are requested to use Gogou Paraskevaidi Street for this purpose.
Limassol District
On the main Limassol-Troodos road, during the period 13/05/2025 – 31/05/2025, work will be carried out on the installation of a water supply pipeline by a private company on behalf of the T.A.Y. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed every 120m. approximately and traffic management will be carried out with the temporary traffic light system.
On the Trimiklini-Platres road, during the period 26/05/2025-30/05/2025, between the hours of 08:00 -15:00, logging and tree pruning works will be carried out by the Forestry Department. During the works, a section of the Trimiklini-Platres road, from its junction with the main Limassol-Troodos road to its junction with Archangelou Michael Street, will be closed to traffic and traffic will be diverted through Archiepiskopou Makariou III and Archangelou Michael Streets.
Larnaca District
On the Larnaca-Dhekelia coastal road, as part of the construction works of the Project “Improvement of the Larnaca-Dhekelia Coastal Road Phase C”, traffic, from the height of the LEBAY Hotel to the Radisson Beach Hotel, from April 24, 2025 and for six months, will be diverted via Galaxia Street in Oroklini, while part of it, near the BORONIA Hotel, will be closed. In addition, the road connecting Oroklini with the Larnaca-Dhekelia coastal road, at the height of the Oroklini Fire Station and the HENIPA Hotel, from April 24, 2025 and for two months, will be closed to traffic in both directions. Traffic will be diverted via Bella-Pais, Olympos and Athinon Streets in Oroklini. Drivers are advised to exercise caution.
Paphos District
On the Paphos-Polis Chrysochous road, between the communities of Stroumpio and Giolo, from Monday 12/05/2025 until Friday 23/05/2025, including the weekend, drilling work will be carried out for geotechnical survey purposes. During the work, one lane of traffic will be closed in sections for a distance of approximately 60m. and traffic management will be carried out using a temporary mobile traffic light system. Each section of the road will remain closed for the entire duration of the work (including at night).
Also on the old Paphos-Limassol road, in the section near Petra tou Romiou, construction works for road stabilization measures will be carried out between 17/06/2024 and 16/06/2025. Specifically, the works will be carried out to stabilize the slope and the road surface, as part of the 2nd Phase of the works being carried out on the road, following the major landslides that had occurred since 2019. During the works period, 17/06/2024-16/06/2025, a section of the old Limassol-Paphos road, near Petra tou Romiou, will be temporarily closed to traffic in both directions towards Paphos and towards Limassol. The temporary signage will be the same as in the 1st Phase of Works. Specifically, the necessary signage and information will be placed on the parallel section of the Limassol-Paphos motorway, as well as on the two cut-off sections on the old Limassol-Paphos road, near the western Pissouri-Petra tou Romiou exit and near the Kouklia exit, to inform drivers intending to head towards Petra tou Romiou.
