The innovative satellite forest fire detection system, ORORATECH Wildfire Solution, was presented to the Cyprus Fire Service by the companies FireLine and OroraTech, an advanced forest fire monitoring solution system.
During the presentation, representatives of the two companies developed the capabilities of the system to the Chief Fire Officer of the Cyprus Fire Service, Nikos Longinos, and other members of the Fire Service.
Particular emphasis was placed on the utilization of real-time satellite data and the use of advanced fire information tools to enhance preparedness, early warning and effective management of forest fires in Cyprus.
The system has the ability to detect and monitor thermal anomalies in forest areas, allowing the immediate activation of reaction mechanisms before the spread of fire.
The representatives of the Fire Service expressed particular interest and submitted valuable observations and questions, contributing to the substantial understanding of the operational needs of Cyprus. Their experience and dedication to fire prevention and suppression were a decisive factor for a constructive discussion.
