ELECTRICITY 08 CATEGORY - WHO QUALIFIES?

Following the passage of the government bill for the elimination of income criteria for families with five or more dependent children for the purposes of granting the Child Allowance, these families may be included in Special Pricing 08 of the EAC.

According to an announcement by the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare, all families with 5 or more dependent children are included in the Special Tariff 08 of the EAC.

Beneficiaries can visit the website of the Cyprus Electricity Authority and fill in the Application for Inclusion in Tariff 08. Subsequently, they must hand in the form to one of the EAC Customer Service Centres.

The prerequisite is that the families already receive Child Benefit. It is noted that the Special Pricing already includes families with three or more dependent children who receive Child Benefit.

All categories included in EAC Pricing 08 are as follows:

1. Recipients of Public Assistance from the Social Welfare Services of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
2. Beneficiaries of Guaranteed Minimum Income provided by the Welfare Benefits Management Service of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
3. A family of three or more children receiving Child Benefit for three or more dependent children from the Welfare Benefits Management Service of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
4. Beneficiaries of the Pensioners' Allowance with Low Incomes from the Welfare Benefits Management Service of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
5. Single-parent families who receive a Single-Parent Family Allowance which is granted in addition to the Child Allowance by the Welfare Benefits Management Service of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
6. Recipients of the Severe Mobility Disability Allowance from the Department of Social Integration of Persons with Disabilities of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
7. Recipients of the Care Allowance for Paraplegic Persons from the Department of Social Integration of Persons with Disabilities of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
8. Recipients of the Care Allowance for Quadriplegic Persons from the Department of Social Integration of Persons with Disabilities of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
9. Recipients of the Dialysis Allowance for Dialysis Patients from the Department of Social Integration of Persons with Disabilities of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
10. Recipients of Special Sponsorship for the Blind from the Department of Social Integration of Persons with Disabilities of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
11. Victims who are beneficiaries of a special monthly pension from the Victims' Relief Fund, the details of which will be received on a continuous basis by the Victims' Relief Committee, which operates on the basis of the provisions of the Victims' Relief Law 114/1988, as amended or replaced from time to time
12. Renal peritoneal dialysis patients whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organization
13. People suffering from multiple sclerosis (multiple sclerosis) whose details will be provided by the Health Insurance Organization
14. Persons who have undergone a heart transplant whose details will be provided by the Health Insurance Organization
15. Persons with active Megalomania, whose details will be provided by the Health Insurance Organization
16. People with active Cushing's disease whose details will be provided by the Health Insurance Organization
17. People with active Pheochromocytoma whose details will be provided by the Health Insurance Organization
18. People with autonomic diabetic neuropathy whose details will be provided by the Health Insurance Organization
19. Patients with permanent tracheostomy whose details will be provided by the Health Insurance Organization
20. Patients with a primary or metastatic tumour of the Central Nervous System (brain and spinal cord) whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organization.
