BASES FOLDING RE LADY'S MILE BEACH

 Filenews 22 May 2025

The British Bases Administration has retraced its recent recommendations to avoid swimming at the popular Lady's Mile beach in Limassol. In a new announcement, the Bases say that the latest measurements show a "significant improvement" in water quality along the entire beach, thus reassuring the public about the safety of bathers.

Despite the noticeable improvement, they note, investigations to identify the source of pollution continue, in cooperation with competent experts of the Republic of Cyprus. In fact, as it is emphasized, further joint sampling will be carried out in the coming weeks to monitor the situation.

The Bases underline their commitment to protecting the environment and public health, assuring that the beach remains a safe and pleasant destination for the public.

This announcement follows the concerns expressed in the previous period, now giving a more reassuring message to the citizens and visitors of the area.
