The Ministry of Defense announces that from April 24, at 12:00, the platform for the electronic submission of the declaration of conscript selection data of the 2025 ESSO will be operational.
2. The platform will remain in operation until 24:00 on May 11, 2025 and declarations will be submitted through the Government Portal https://www.gov.cy. Access to the Government Portal requires only the creation of a profile as a citizen (natural person) and not his identification. Those conscripts who have created a profile for the submission of the "Declaration of Conscript Details" (16 years old), should enter the same entry details in the Government Portal.
3. The conscripts of the 2025 ESSO, are invited to submit the declaration of data as well as the relevant supporting documents required, in order to register their wish, for the implementation of the selection and allocation process, to the Branches, Weapons and Corps of the National Guard, their placement in Units, as well as the selection of the Candidate Reserve Officers (OHS) and the National Guardsmen who will be selected to serve in the Special Forces (Commandos, Military, Military), in the Clubs – KAAY – STE, in the Technical Specialties and in the Military Music of the National Guard (SMEF).
4. For the timely and better preparation of conscripts and for their own convenience and benefit, they are asked to ensure the advance securing of the following documents in electronic form, so that they are ready for their registration at the beginning of the process. Each attached supporting document must have a maximum size of 500KB/0.5MB and in no case should the total of the attached supporting documents exceed the size of 10MB.
Mandatory supporting documents:
ID card, front and back in two different files, in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format.
Optional supporting documents:
a. Certificates in case he/she belongs to one or more categories of credits, in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format. These certificates will be checked if they meet the criteria for crediting the points. Click HERE for the points categories.
b. Bank Account Certificate (IBAN), in pdf format. The bill should be in the name of the conscript. A bank account for a minor is created by the banking institutions if the conscript presents the invitation note for enlistment. In case the bank account details are not submitted to the electronic platform, they must be submitted on the day of their presentation for a health examination and the provision of materials and clothing and footwear that takes place before the classification.
c. Normal driver's license, front and back in one file, in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format.
d. In case a desire is declared for a position in Technical Specialties, Clubs – KAAY – STE, a corresponding certificate of qualifications must be submitted by the respective secondary school in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format. Click HERE for more information.
e. Certificate of vaccination status and blood type, in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format (not a health booklet). In case it is not submitted to the electronic platform, it must be given to the doctor, on the day of their presentation, for a health examination and the provision of materials and clothing – footwear that is carried out before the classification.
5. Those conscripts who do not proceed with the submission of the declaration of data within the specified deadline, will not have the right to claim a position for Candidate Reserve Officers, Special Forces, Clubs – KAAY – STE or Technical Specialties and will be assigned to Units based exclusively on the service needs of the National Guard.
6. Those who submit the declaration of data, through the electronic platform, will receive as proof, a copy of the Declaration in their e-mail, in which the random lot number will be printed on the basis of a special algorithm by the computerized system. In addition, the Invitation Note for Enlistment will be sent to their e-mail, which will include information on the health examination and the provision of materials and clothing and footwear that takes place before the enlistment.
7. It is recommended that the conscripts' attention is drawn to the fact that the data that will be submitted through the platform and concerning the categories of points, the wishes of selection and the preference guard of the conscripts may be modified upon request of the conscript which is submitted by him to the Directorate of Selection and Transfers of the General Staff of the General Staff, via e-mail geefdemeo@army.gov.cy, no later than two (2) days from the end of the platform's operation. In any case, the change can be made only once (1) for each conscript.
8. It is noted that the enlistment of conscripts will take place from 7 to 11 July 2025.
