POLICE WARN AGAIN REGARDING SMS RE UNPAID TRAFFIC TICKETS
The Police continue to receive complaints about false messages sent both via social networking sites and mobile phones, which invite the recipient to follow a specific electronic link, with the aim of paying for alleged traffic violations. Their purpose is to deceive and extort money or personal information. The Police do NOT communicate with you in this way. What to do if you receive such messages: DO NOT open suspicious links DO NOT provide personal or banking information Extreme caution is recommended when receiving such messages, which lead you to unknown electronic links.
