Emergency measures for juvenile delinquency, which is directly linked to the custom of lambratzia in view of the Easter holidays.
According to information, today an official note was sent by the Police Headquarters to all police directorates of the districts (Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, Famagusta, Morphou).
With this, the members of the Police are notified that there will be special operations aimed at preventing and combating juvenile delinquency in various areas, where young people gather and cause nuisance due to the use of firecrackers and other illegal actions.
These extraordinary operations will begin in the evening and will last until the early hours of the morning, a period of time during which the phenomena are intense.
This emergency measure will be valid from April 7 to 17. From 18/4 and for the rest of the 4-day period, there is already an operational plan that provides for more drastic measures.
