The demand for tickets and reservations for the Cyprus-Greece sea passenger connection is also increased this year, with the passenger ferry Daleela ready to set sail from the port of Limassol on May 31, 2025.
Since April 2, the day the electronic system for booking and purchasing tickets was put into operation, the interest has been quite high, Mr. Charalambos Manolis, one of the directors of the management company, told Filenews. He explained that within the first 24 hours, bookings have exceeded 1,000, both for the routes to Piraeus and for the routes from Piraeus to Limassol.
In addition to passengers, it seems that the demand for transporting pets is also increasing. According to Mr. Manolis, until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday (3/4), bookings for the routes from Limassol to Piraeus amounted to 1,239 passengers. As for vehicles, bookings reached 418, for motorcycles 68 and for pets 43.
As far as the routes from Piraeus to Limassol are concerned, the reservations concern 1,294 passengers, 372 vehicles, 94 motorcycles and 39 pets.
"Bookings for another year are increased," noted Mr. Manolis, underlining that citizens have embraced the maritime connection.
It is noteworthy that, during the three years of operation of the line, a total of 22,582 passengers and 772 pets travelled, while 7,641 accompanied vehicles were transported.
