A coordinated multi-agency operation was carried out today in Trachoni and Ypsonas, led by the Base Police (SBA) and the cooperation of the Cyprus Police, the Fire Service and the Municipality of Kouria.

The operation focused on locations known for gatherings of young people and was precautionary in view of possible incidents. During the raid, dangerous items were seized, including Molotov cocktails, firecrackers, iron nails, stones, wooden planks, tyres, hoods and other materials that could be used in acts of violence.

The competent authorities underlined that this joint action is part of the ongoing effort to ensure public safety and prevent anti-social behaviour that may threaten the well-being of local communities.
