Filenews 16 March 2025
The mercury continues to rise, reaching today up to 34 degrees Celsius. However, it seems that a plunge in temperature, winds and even rain follow. According to the Department of Meteorology, the weak high pressure and hot air mass affecting the area will be resisted from tomorrow by a weak low pressure system, while from Wednesday onwards a relatively cold air mass will be on the island.
Today, the weather will be mostly clear and particularly warm for the season, while at times there will be increased high clouds. The temperature will rise around 34 degrees in the interior, around 28 degrees on the coast and around 23 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tomorrow, the weather will be mostly clear, but at times there will be increased average and high clouds, while isolated light rain is not excluded.
The weather will not change much on Tuesday, as it will be mostly clear with temporarily locally increased clouds, which may give isolated light rain. The field of winds will be strengthened.
On Wednesday the weather will be cloudy, with isolated showers expected. The island will be affected by a southwest to northwest strong wind field.
The temperature until Wednesday will gradually drop noticeably, to be close to the average climatic values of the season.
