Fear and terror have become in recent days the simple movement of motorists in some parts of the city of Pafos due to the irresponsible action of some to "seed" dozens of nails in various parts of the road network, in order to pierce the tyres of cars.
This phenomenon has taken on serious proportions and it is now obvious that it is anything but random and isolated. Indicative of the seriousness of this antisocial behaviour of the hitherto unknown perpetrators is the admission of a professional operating in the tire industry that in recent weeks he has been repairing dozens of cars on a daily basis that arrive with punctured tyres, while, he said, until now it was normal for 4-5 vehicles with such a problem to appear.
The issue was also brought to the MP of Pafos, Chrysanthos Savvides, by citizens who complained about this fact. The DIKO MP told "F" that he himself confirmed the existence of the phenomenon from professionals in the sector lately, which is why he is making representations to the Police and other competent bodies in order to investigate the whole problem.
