Between 07/01/2025 – 02/05/2025, on Kremmastis Street in Episkopi, a roundabout construction work will be carried out by a private contractor. During the works, the following arrangements will apply: • A section of Kremmastis Street will be closed and traffic will be diverted via Achaion and Argous Streets. • Also, the exit from the Paphos – Limassol motorway towards Limassol at the Episkopi junction will be closed and traffic from the motorway to Episkopi will be diverted via the immediately following Kantou junction.
Larnaca-Famagusta Motorway On the Larnaca Airport-Ayia Napa Motorway, during the period 13/01/2025-31/03/2025, excluding weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30-14:30, the Department of Forestry will carry out green pruning work on the sides of the motorways. During the work, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions. Traffic will continue to flow freely in the lanes. Larnaca-Kofinou Motorway On the Larnaca-Kofinou Motorway, during the period 13/01/2025-31/03/2025, excluding weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30-14:30, the Department of Forestry will carry out green pruning work on the sides of the motorways. During the work, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions. Traffic will continue to flow freely in the lanes. From Monday 24/02/2025 to Friday 28/03/2025, excluding Sundays and holidays, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, work will be carried out to cut and prune acacias and other trees on the shoulders and slopes of the Larnaca – Kofinou motorway, in both directions, including the Interchanges. During the work, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed in sections. Traffic will continue to flow freely in the lanes. Larnaca-Nicosia Motorway Limassol-Nicosia Motorway On the Limassol-Nicosia motorway, following the opening to traffic on Saturday morning 25/01/2025 of the Kalavasos bridge in the direction from Nicosia to Limassol, following the completion of its upgrade / repair, during the period 30/1/2025 - 15/5/2025, the corresponding upgrade / repair works of the bridge in the direction from Limassol to Nicosia will be carried out. During the course of the works, the two lanes of the motorway in the direction of Nicosia, approximately 1 km long, will be closed to traffic. Traffic will be diverted to the opposite traffic flow, which will operate in two-way traffic. Also, the entrance to the motorway, heading towards Limassol from the old Limassol - Nicosia road at the Zygi junction will be closed and traffic from the old road to the motorway will be diverted via the Governor's Beach junction. During the period from 4/3/2025 - 6/3/2025, the pavement of the Nicosia - Limassol motorway at the height of Alambra will be resurfaced, from 8 pm until 5.30 am the next day. During the execution of the works, the two lanes of the motorway heading towards Limassol will be closed for a length of approximately 3 kilometers. Traffic will be diverted to the opposite direction with two-way traffic. Limassol-Paphos Motorway From Wednesday 12/02/2025 until Wednesday 16/04/2025, between the hours of 07:30 – 15:00, daily, except weekends, embankment removal works will be carried out on sections of the Limassol – Paphos motorway, from the New Limassol Hospital exit, to the Petra tou Romiou exit and on sections of the bypass road in both directions. During the works, the emergency lane (hard shoulder) of the motorway will be closed in sections over a length of approximately 200m, at all times. Nicosia District In Lakatamia, works will be carried out on Tseriou Avenue and Strovolos Street, from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue to Pefkou Street, from Friday 12/05/2023 and for a period of 20 months, as part of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos Avenues and a section of Tseriou Avenue and Strovolos Street. At the same time, during the same period, as part of the reconstruction of Ippokratous Avenue, Themistokleous Street and Areos Avenue will be closed from their intersection with Themistokleous Street to Nikaias Street and Kentavrou Street respectively. In Lakatamia, as part of the improvement / construction of Ippokratous Avenue, from Friday 07/02/2025 at 11:00 in the morning, and for a period of approximately 4 months, part of Karavostasiou Street will be temporarily closed to traffic, from its intersection with Agiou Amvrosiou Street to its intersection with Ippokratous Avenue. All movements to and from Ippokratous Avenue will be made through it. Traffic from Themistokleous Street to Ippokratous Avenue and vice versa will be conducted via Nikaias Street. In Nicosia and Aglantzia, as part of the project “Improvement of Famagusta Avenue in Nicosia”, works lasting 24 months are underway from 20 February 2025, which are expected to be completed by 22 February 2027. Specifically, Famagusta Avenue is included from its junction with Kalavryton Street to the Sopaz roundabout, approximately 1.7 km long. and a secondary road network approximately 0.8 km long, consisting of parts of Kalavryton, Pafos, Madaris and Semelis streets. Limassol District Larnaca District In Larnaca, the Larnaca-Dhekelia coastal road, from the height of the Oroklini Fire Station to the Oroklini Organized Beach (Kiosk), will be closed to traffic in both directions from 03/07/2024 and for seven months, as part of the construction works of the Project “Improvement of the Larnaca-Dhekelia Coastal Road Phase C”. During the works, traffic will be diverted via Galaxia Street in Oroklini. Drivers are urged to be careful. On the old Nicosia-Limassol road, in the section towards the Vassilikos Cement Plant, from Wednesday 05/03/2025 until Saturday 08/03/2025, work will be carried out for the installation of a metal gate on the connecting road to the cement plant. During the work, a section of one lane of the road will be closed sequentially for approximately 150m, after the bypass towards the Mari Community, and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, which will operate in two-way traffic, using a temporary Mobile Traffic Light System. On the Mazotos-Zygiu road, on a bridge before the exit to Maroni, in the direction of Zygi, during the period 06/03/2025 – 28/03/2025, between the hours of 07:30 – 15:00, excluding weekends and holidays, bridge maintenance work will be carried out. During the work, one lane of traffic will be closed, approximately 50m long, and traffic will be diverted to the opposite lane, using STOP and GO signs. Paphos District On the old Paphos-Limassol road, during the period 13/5/2024 – 12/5/2025 (for 12 months), construction work will be carried out to stabilize a section of the road, near Petra tou Romiou (near the CTO refreshment bar in Petra tou Romiou). During the works, the section of the road being reconstructed will not be available to traffic. There will be continuous and unhindered traffic by the traffic police on both sides of the construction site. Traffic on the old Paphos - Limassol road in the direction from Paphos to Limassol will be diverted from the Petra tou Romiou exit (after Aphrodite Hills on the left) and from Limassol / Pissouri to Paphos from the Pissouri exit, on the Paphos - Limassol motorway. Also, on the old Paphos - Limassol road, in the section near Petra tou Romiou, construction work on road stabilization measures will be carried out between 17/06/2024 and 16/06/2025. Specifically, the works will be carried out to stabilize the slope and the road surface, as part of the 2nd Phase of the works being carried out on the road, following the major landslides that had occurred since 2019. During the works period, 17/06/2024-16/06/2025, a section of the old Limassol-Paphos road, near Petra tou Romiou, will be temporarily closed to traffic in both directions towards Paphos and towards Limassol. The temporary signage will be the same as in the 1st Phase of Works. Specifically, the necessary signage and information will be placed on the parallel section of the Limassol-Paphos motorway, as well as on the two cut-off sections on the old Limassol-Paphos road, near the western Pissouri-Petra tou Romiou exit and near the Kouklia exit, to inform drivers intending to head towards Petra tou Romiou.
