INVITATION BY THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAFOS TO OFFER ITEMS TO BE EXHIBITED IN THEIR MUSEUMS
Within the context of the planned creation of municipal museums in the historic center of the city, the Municipality of Paphos requests all owners of objects related to the history and tradition of the city of Paphos to place them at the disposal of the Municipality in order to be evaluated by experts for possible inclusion in the exhibitions of the said museums.
The reception and management of objects during their evaluation stage and before their exhibition in museums will be carried out under terms and conditions that will ensure their protection and integrity. The objects or collections that will be donated to the Municipality will carry accompanying plaques on which their donors will be commemorated. In case owners wish to lend them for a certain period of time, they will be able to forego them under the long-term lending status. And in this case, the borrower's name will be written on the accompanying sign.
Indicative list of items that can be exhibits at the proposed municipal museums
1. Photographic and audio-visual material concerning the history of Sports in the city and the Province of Pafos (events/events, athletes, factors etc. ά. )
2. Books, handmade notebooks, calendars, stationery, notebooks, maps, stamps, receipts, newspapers and period magazines, lithographs, chalkographs, posters, sketches, programs etc. ά. involving persons and events from the field of Sport
3. Press releases on Sports persons and events
4. Flags/banners, trophies/trophies, plaques, medals and other means of distinction involving organized groups and persons in the Sport sector
5. Works of art from the Eastern Mediterranean region: paintings, sculptures, engravings, silverware, tapestries (carpets) etc. ά.
6. Legally owned antiquities collections
7. Relics from the Byzantine Period: manuscripts, palettes, images, prepared murals, amphias, smallcraft objects, sculptures, wood sculptures, etc. ..
8. Old school musical instruments
9. Objects from Maritime World.
