Filenews 21 March 2025
The protest measures are escalated by the hunters, who will take to the streets again next Sunday, March 23, where at 12.00 they will proceed to the cut off of the Nicosia-Limassol motorway at the height of Skarinou, in all directions.
The announcement of Active Citizens – United Cypriot Hunters Movement
"As Active Citizens – United Cypriot Hunters Movement, we have warned that we will not remain apathetic.
It seems that some are unable to understand the inequalities and injustice that has grown and touches all the issues of the flora and fauna of our country.
Apart from the Hunting Service, which on our initiative proceeded to a full-fledged meeting, (we will inform you officially with a press release for developments)
we had no other response either from the Federation, or from any competent department.
We escalate our protest measures with all our strength and call on all our hunters, fishermen, farmers and every organized group to stand by our side.
The time has come for us all to march together against all forms of injustice.
Today we are shouting. Tomorrow it will be your turn.
On Sunday 23/03/25, at 12.00 we will proceed to the junction of the motorway L/sia – L/sou at the height of Skarinou, in all directions.
We call on all the competent bodies, the Cyprus Hunting Federation, the Game and Fauna Service, the competent Ministries and MPs to restore the injustice that has been done to the Hunters for decades.
We would like to inform all our fellow Hunting Dog Owners that the absolute responsibility for the addition of other areas lies beyond any doubt with KOK&DAZ.
Through the mouth of the Head of the Game Service, it was clearly stated in our meeting yesterday at the offices of the Game Service that the responsibility lies exclusively with the leadership of KOK&DAZ. A proposal that the President of KOK&DAZ himself submitted to the Head of the Game Service.
The presence of all of you is essential. All of you, Hunter friends, are the only force left to be able to claim everything that has been unjustly deprived of us for so many years.
The Provinces with our Provincial Officers as coordinators, after being gathered as defined below, will arrive at the point with a convoy.
