The Ministry of Interior announced the extension of the deadline for reporting and repairing damage to solar water heaters until Wednesday, May 14. The decision was taken following requests from citizens and organized bodies, due to the damage caused by the recent low temperatures.
Affected owners must fill in the relevant form and submit it to the relevant District Administration. According to the instructions, the declaration must include personal details of the owner, photos of the water heater demonstrating the damage and its repair, a description of work by a plumber, payment invoices, as well as the necessary accompanying documents, such as the FIMAS authorization form and a copy of IBAN.
In addition, owners are required to declare responsibly that the details of the application are accurate and that they do not have insurance to cover the specific damage.
