A seismic tremor occurred at 13.08 on Sunday and was felt in various areas of Cyprus.
According to initial information from the Euro-Mediterranean Institute, the earthquake was centered 28 kilometers southwest of Nicosia.
The quake is estimated to have been 3.0 on the Richter scale with a focal depth of 15.6 km.
