The Pafos District Court yesterday referred the 55-year-old to a direct trial before the Pafos Assize Court for the large quantity of drugs in Panagia.
The start of the hearing was set for April 9 and until then the 55-year-old Greek Cypriot will continue to be detained.
It is recalled that the 55-year-old hid in a water tank buried in a field in Panagia 37 kilos of cannabis, which were found after an operation by members of the YKAN.

In the context of investigating a case concerning the offences of conspiracy to commit a felony, abduction of a person or kidnapping for the purpose of hidden and unjust confinement, robbery etc., which were committed on 28/02/2024 in Limassol, the Police arrested two men aged 29 and 24.
Today, those arrested were brought before the Limassol District Court, which issued a three-day detention order.
It is recalled that a minor foreigner from Syria reported yesterday that on Friday (28/02), around 11:45, while outside a kiosk in Kolossi, initially stopped a sedan vehicle, in which a man and a woman were aboard. At the same time, he stopped a van, from which the driver got off and, by force, put him inside the vehicle.
A little later, the vehicle stopped in the area of Kolossi Castle, where he realized that both persons who were in the first vehicle were present.
Then they stole his cell phone, beat him and abandoned him at the scene.
The attackers threatened him that if he filed a complaint with the police, they would kill him and burn down his house.
The 17-year-old returned home on foot and then, accompanied by his mother, filed a complaint with the police.
