The incredibly horrible case, unprecedented for Cypriot data, brought to light by the complaints of children of a family in the Larnaca district, who allegedly experienced for years a Golgotha of savage abuse and forced labour, is beyond imagination. One daughter, in fact, reported her continuous sexual abuse with the shocking details.

For the case, a 48-year-old father and a 41-year-old mother were arrested a few days ago, following a complaint to the Family Violence Unit of the Larnaca Police Department, who were referred yesterday to a direct trial before the Permanent Assize Court. The court ordered them to remain in custody until May 5, when their trial will begin, which will take place behind closed doors for the purpose of protecting victims.

According to information from police sources, the case was reported when an underage girl confided in her school what she has been experiencing with her siblings in recent years. Proceedings were immediately initiated by the school and a complaint was made to the Police, who received videotaped testimonies from the 4 children, two of whom (adults today), do not have a father, the 48-year-old.

The eldest daughter complained that the 48-year-old, who is her stepfather, began about 10 years ago, while she was a minor, repeatedly sexually abusing her, which, as she claimed, was known to her mother. She also complained that on one occasion many years ago her stepfather forced her to eat dirt, as well as that he forced her to watch movies with obscene content with him.

Among the allegations is that the 48-year-old forced four of the five children to work in fields and livestock facilities for years, while some of them claimed that he repeatedly used violence against them. There are also allegations of abuse against the mother, who allegedly also beat the children. As for the fifth and youngest child, the complaints, according to the same sources, relate to psychological violence.

It is noted that the father and mother face very serious charges, which relate to child trafficking, exploitation of minors and adults in the workplace, sexual abuse and violence in the family. Information from "F" states that during the investigations for the case, it was found that the family was living, under very poor living conditions, in a remote premises. The Social Welfare Services have been informed about the case from the very first moment, which placed all five children of the family under their protection.

A big clash took place on Friday night in Agia Fyla, where about 200 young people clashed outside a bakery, having in their possession clubs and throwing stones.

Most of them had their faces covered with hoods. The Police arrived at the scene around 21:30 after information received from citizens, however, due to the large number of people involved, they did not intervene and proceeded to recall personnel.

The youths, as can be seen in photos posted on social media, lit a fire inside the main road of Agia Fyla, resulting in passing drivers not being able to pass through the spot. The Fire Service was immediately informed where he arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.

A little later, at 23:00, the authorities returned to the place where they found about 70 people. They then proceeded to arrest 13 of them, 9 of whom are minors (16-17). The arrested are accused of illegal assembly, while the issuance of arrest warrants for offences of mob and malicious damage is being considered.

Today, the 13 young people will be brought before the Limassol District Court, with the investigators of the Limassol TAE requesting their detention.

The offenses they face are, conspiracy, mob, malicious damage and possession of offensive instruments. In fact, one of the 13 also faces an offense for theft of a motorcycle as he was arrested while driving the stolen motorcycle.

He did not have time to enjoy a few days of freedom, after the expiration of his detention decree for another case and ended up back in the cell again. The reason for this is a 36-year-old man, who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of theft of property, specifically 150 vinyl records, by a 41-year-old DJ resident of Limassol.

The suspect was brought today before the Limassol Court, which ordered his detention for a period of 5 days. As philenews is informed, during interrogation, the suspect claimed that the stolen property was given to him by a friend of his, who told him that he found it in a skip. He also claimed that he went on foot to a store selling musical goods, where he sold some records. His claims, however, seem to be refuted by CCTV video, where it is found that he had gone with a vehicle, along with two other people, to the store and he got out of the car where, holding a bag, he entered the premises.

The 41-year-old complainant reported to the Police that on March 24, a bag was stolen from his vehicle, inside which there were 150 vinyl records worth €3,500, along with other items. As he said, two days later he received a call from a friend who runs a store in Nicosia, who told him that someone had sent him photos and videos of vinyl records, telling him that they were for sale, since they belonged to a relative of his who had died.

Although the owner of the store was not interested in buying, he referred the person in question to contact other people. The owner of the store, however, sent the 41-year-old complainant videos and photos from the records, with the latter acknowledging that it was his property.

From the examinations carried out through a specific application regarding the phone number that sent the photos and videos, it was found that the photo was of the 36-year-old suspect, who had occupied the Police in the recent past with similar offenses.

The stolen property had been sold to other people involved in the sale and purchase of records, with the 41-year-old going to the store in question and recognizing his stolen property. From testimony obtained, it was reported that the suspect had gone to a store selling musical goods and sold 62 vinyl records, receiving a sum of money.

The two half-brothers, who were arrested as suspects in the case of burglary and malicious damage to a primary school in the Polemidia area, which occurred at midnight on Thursday (27/3), did not appear before the District Court. As Filenews is informed, the two young men were charged in writing and released, in order to be summoned later before the Court.

Without an obvious motive and without any particular reason, the two half-brothers entered the elementary school and proceeded to vandalize and destroy various objects in front of them. Despite the fact that there is no closed circuit surveillance within the school unit, they did not calculate that the alarm would be activated and the Police would respond immediately. At the scene, authorities detected a strong smell of burns, while smoke was rising from inside the school.

The two young men, aged 16 and 23, were found near the school, having in their possession various objects and property belonging to the school. In addition, burglary tools were found in their possession, while the 23-year-old had a knife on him, as well as a small amount of solid oil.

After being arrested, the two young men were taken to the Limassol TAE, where during the interrogation they admitted their involvement in the case. According to their testimony, they broke into the school, started the fire and stole various objects from a classroom. When asked about the reasons for their delinquent behaviour, they said that there was no specific reason.

The Fire Department also arrived at the school unit, which located a fire in stationery in the schoolyard and proceeded to extinguish it. During the investigation, extensive damage was found to two classrooms, a toilet, as well as flowers and garbage bins.

According to an estimate of a representative of the School Board, the amount of damages is estimated at around €500. The investigations by the Limassol TAE continue, while it is expected that testimonies will be taken from various persons and any closed circuits of surveillance of the area will be studied.
