A total of 767 asylum applications were submitted from January 1 to March 28, 2025 to the Asylum Service of the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection, while during the same period 3,660 departures were recorded, according to Deputy Ministry sources.
Departures include both deportations and voluntary or voluntary returns of people of various nationalities. The same sources said that these procedures are carried out in cooperation with the Aliens and Immigration Service of the Cyprus Police.
In detail, 256 asylum applications were registered in January, 232 in February and 279 until 28 March.
