On Thursday, April 3rd, the employees of the Cyprus Intercity Buses company will go on a 24-hour strike, as announced by the trade unions OMEPEGE-SEK and SEDAMELIN-PEO.
According to a joint announcement by the trade unions, the decision to take strike measures was taken after the failure of the process of renewal of the Collective Labour Agreement, which led to a deadlock by the Labour Relations Department of the Ministry of Labour.
As reported, the workers and the trade unions "had no other choice" and proceed to the strike acting within the framework of the Industrial Relations Code.
The unions apologize to the passengers for the inconvenience caused, noting that the workers "bear no responsibility" for the mobilizations.
