The roads leading to Troodos and in particular the roads Platres-Troodos, Karvounas-Troodos and Prodromos-Troodos are open only to vehicles with four-wheel drive or equipped with snow chains, since due to frost the road surface has become slippery.
According to the Police, at the same time, on the Paphos-Limassol motorway in both directions to Paphos and Limassol, at the height of the areas of Pissouri and Paramali, there is an accumulation of water due to the rains that occur, resulting in the road surface being dangerously slippery.
The rest of the road network in urban areas, as well as on motorways, does not present any particular problem, despite the winter and rainy conditions prevailing.
The Police recommends caution to those who will be moving on the road network, who are asked to observe the traffic code and traffic signals, to avoid road collisions.
