Due to snowfall in the areas of Troodos, the road network in the mountains is affected, since the roads are slippery.
According to the Police, open ONLY to vehicles with four-wheel drive or equipped with snow chains are the roads:
Platres-Troodos
Karvouna-Troodos
Prodromos-Troodos
Karvouna – Kyperounda.
Also open to all vehicles, but slippery due to frost are the roads:
Kyperountas – Handria
Chantria – Agrou
Agrou – Papoutsas
Agros – Agios Ioannis
Kalopanayioti – Moutoula
Pedoula – Prodromou
Prodromou – Lemithou
Kakopetria – Pinewood – Pedoula
Kakopetria – Karvouna
Pedoulas – Kykkos – Kampos
The rest of the road network in urban areas, as well as on motorways, does not present any particular problems.
The Police recommends caution to those who will be moving on the road network, who are asked to observe the traffic code and traffic signals, to avoid road collisions.
