Between 07/01/2025 – 02/05/2025, on Kremmastis Street in Episkopi, a roundabout construction work will be carried out by a private contractor. During the works, the following arrangements will apply: • A section of Kremmastis Street will be closed and traffic will be diverted via Achaion and Argous Streets. • Also, the exit from the Paphos – Limassol motorway towards Limassol at the Episkopi junction will be closed and traffic from the motorway to Episkopi will be diverted via the immediately following Kantou junction.
Larnaca-Famagusta Motorway On the Larnaca Airport-Ayia Napa Motorway, during the period 13/01/2025-31/03/2025, excluding weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30-14:30, the Department of Forestry will carry out green pruning work on the sides of the motorways. During the work, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions. Traffic will continue to flow freely in the lanes. Larnaca-Kofinou Motorway On the Larnaca-Kofinou Motorway, during the period 13/01/2025-31/03/2025, excluding weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30-14:30, green pruning works will be carried out on the slopes of the motorways by the Forestry Department. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions. Traffic will continue to flow unhindered in the traffic lanes. Also on the Kofinou-Larnaca motorway, from Tuesday 28/01/2025 until Friday 14/02/2025, daily except weekends, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:30, work will be carried out to install reflective elements on the concrete safety barriers of the central island of the motorway, towards Larnaca. During the work, the right lane of the motorway will be closed in sections, for a distance of approximately 2 kilometers, and traffic will be diverted to the left lane. Larnaca-Nicosia Motorway On the Larnaca-Nicosia Motorway in both directions towards Nicosia and towards Larnaca, from Monday 20/01/2025 until Friday 07/02/2025, daily except weekends, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:30, work will be carried out to replace the reflective elements of the metal safety barriers installed on the shoulders of the motorway. During the work, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed in sections. Traffic will continue to flow unhindered in the lanes. On the Larnaca-Nicosia motorway, from Monday 03/02/2025 until Friday 21/02/2025, except Sundays, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, tree cutting and pruning works will be carried out on the shoulders and slopes of the motorway in both directions, including the Interchanges. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed in sections. Traffic will continue to flow unhindered in the traffic lanes. Limassol-Nicosia Motorway On the Limassol-Nicosia motorway, following the opening to traffic on Saturday morning 25/01/2025 of the Kalavasos bridge in the direction from Nicosia to Limassol, following the completion of its upgrade / repair, during the period 30/1/2025 - 15/5/2025, the corresponding upgrade / repair works of the bridge in the direction from Limassol to Nicosia will be carried out. During the course of the works, the two lanes of the motorway in the direction of Nicosia, approximately 1 km long, will be closed to traffic. Traffic will be diverted to the opposite traffic flow, which will operate in two-way traffic. Also, the entrance to the motorway, heading towards Limassol from the old Limassol - Nicosia road at the Zygio junction will be closed and traffic from the old road to the motorway will be diverted via the Governor's Beach junction. On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, on the section of the Limassol Bypass, from the New Hospital junction to the Mouttagiaka junction in both directions, during the period 09/01/2025 - 27/02/2025, from 21:00 at night, until 06:00 the next morning, from Monday to Thursday, rainwater gutter cleaning works will be carried out. During the works, it will be closed in sections over a length of 200m. one lane of the motorway and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, from Wednesday 22/01/2025 until Tuesday 04/02/2025, except Fridays and weekends, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, work will be carried out to raise safety barriers on the motorway. During the work, the left lane towards Nicosia will be closed by the Kofinou exit, for a length of approximately 500 meters and traffic will be conducted through the middle and right lanes.On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway in both directions from the G.S.P. roundabout to the Alambras bridge, from Monday 27/01/2025 until Wednesday 12/02/2025, except Fridays and weekends, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, work will be carried out to replace damaged safety barriers on the motorway. During the work, the left lane will be closed in sections for a length of approximately 500 meters and traffic will be conducted through the middle and right lanes. Nicosia District In Aglantzia and Geri, on the Aglantzia-Geri road, from the junction with Phytoriou Street to the junction with Glafkou Clerides Avenue, from Monday 03/02/2025 until Wednesday 05/02/2025, between the hours of 09.00 – 17.00, work will be carried out to remove the worn-out and install new horizontal markings. During the work, the lane where the work will be carried out will be cut off for a length of approximately 150m. and traffic will be diverted to the opposite lane. For the smooth conduct of traffic, the Stop & Go method will be used. In Lakatamia, works will be carried out on Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street, from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue to Pefkou Street, starting from Friday 12/05/2023 and for a period of 20 months, as part of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos Avenues and a section of Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street. At the same time, during the same period, as part of the reconstruction of Ippokratous Avenue, Themistokleous Street and Areos Avenue will be closed from their intersection with Themistokleous Street to Nikaias Street and Kentavrou Street respectively. In Lakatamia, as part of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous Avenue, from Friday 07/02/2025 at 11:00 in the morning, and for a period of approximately 4 months, part of Karavostasiou Street will be temporarily closed to traffic, from its junction with Agiou Amvrosiou Street to its junction with Ippokratous Avenue. All movements to and from Ippokratous Avenue will be via Vatylis Street. Traffic from Themistokleous Street to Ippokratous Avenue and vice versa will be via Nikaias Street. On the old Nicosia-Limassol road, in Pera Chorio Nisou, on Monday 03/02/2025, from 20:30 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the next day, works will be carried out to remove and resurface the existing road surface on a section of the road approximately 500m long, which will be closed from the height of its junction with the roundabout near the “Transfiguration of the Savior” church in Pera Chorio Nisou to the homonymous church. Drivers are urged to use ‘Ippokratous’ / ‘Eleftherias’ / ‘Archangelou Rodou’ streets for their movements. The roundabout will remain in operation normally. During the works, there will be appropriate temporary signage for the smooth flow of traffic in the various directions. Also on the old Nicosia-Limassol road, in Pera Chorio Nisou, on Tuesday 04/02/2025 and Wednesday 05/02/2025, from 20:30 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the next day, works will be carried out to remove and resurface the existing road surface, approximately 700m long, with the section of the road being closed from the height of the "Transfiguration of the Savior" church in Pera Chorio Nisou to its junction with Larnakos Street. During the works, traffic will be diverted through Eleftherias, Irini & Larnakos Streets. During the works, there will be appropriate temporary signage for the smooth flow of traffic in the various directions. Larnaca District In Larnaca, the Larnaca-Dhekelia coastal road, from the height of the Oroklini Fire Station to the Oroklini Organized Beach (Kiosk), will be closed to traffic in both directions from 03/07/2024 and for seven months, as part of the construction works of the Project "Improvement of the Larnaca-Dhekelia Coastal Road Phase C". During the works, traffic will be diverted via Galaxia Street in Oroklini. Drivers are urged to be careful. Paphos District From Friday 19/07/2024 and for a period of approximately 6 months, construction works will be carried out on Akamantos Street, next to the Church of Panagia Zalakiotissa in Pegeia. During the works, traffic to and from Peyia will be diverted via Racherou, Sarakkou and Koliakas streets, in accordance with on-site road signage. Only residents will be allowed to enter the intermediate work area. Construction works will be carried out on the old Paphos-Limassol road from 13/5/2024 to 12/5/2025 (for 12 months). measures to stabilize a section of the road, near Petra tou Romiou (near the CTO refreshment bar in Petra tou Romiou). During the works, the section of the road being reconstructed will not be available to traffic. There will be continuous and unhindered traffic movement on both sides of the construction site. Traffic on the old Paphos - Limassol road in the direction from Paphos to Limassol will be diverted from the Petra tou Romiou exit (after Aphrodite Hills on the left) and from Limassol / Pissouri to Paphos from the Pissouri exit, on the Paphos - Limassol motorway. Also, on the old Paphos-Limassol road, in the section near Petra tou Romiou, construction works of road stabilization measures will be carried out between 17/06/2024 and 16/06/2025. Specifically, the works will be carried out to stabilize the slope and the road surface, as part of the 2nd Phase of the works being carried out on the road, following the major landslides that had occurred since 2019. During the works period, 17/06/2024-16/06/2025, a section of the old Limassol-Paphos road, near Petra tou Romiou, will be temporarily closed to traffic in both directions towards Paphos and towards Limassol. The temporary signage will be the same as in the 1st Phase of Works. Specifically, the necessary signage and information will be placed on the parallel section of the Limassol-Paphos motorway, as well as on the two cut-off sections on the old Limassol-Paphos road, near the western Pissouri-Petra tou Romiou exit and near the Kouklia exit, to inform drivers intending to head towards Petra tou Romiou.
