CARNIVAL - TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS 22-23 February

 


Main roads in Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos will be closed to traffic on the weekend of February 22-23 for carnival events organized by the Municipalities of Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca and Akamas. In Limassol, for the carnival parade, which will be held on Sunday, on 28th October Avenue (Limassol coastal road), the following roads will be closed: The section of 28th October Avenue, in the direction from Amathus to Limassol, from the intersection with Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, to the intersection with Anexartisias Street, from 8.00 in the morning, until 7.00 in the evening of Sunday The section of 28th October Avenue in both directions, from the intersection with Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, to the intersection with Anexartisias Street, from 10.30 in the morning, until 7.00 in the evening of Sunday

In Larnaca, for the carnival parade, which will be held on Athens Avenue, on Sunday, the following roads will be closed: Athens Avenue and all the perpendicular lanes leading to it, up to the intersection with Kosmas Lysiotis Street, from 9:00 p.m. on Saturday until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday Athens Avenue and all the perpendicular lanes leading to it, up to the intersection with Pavlou Valsamaki Street, on Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday On Sunday, from 9:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.: Vassileos Pavlou Square, at the intersection with Zenonos Kitieos Street Section of one lane of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, from the intersection with Filiou Tsigaridi Street, to the intersection with Athens Avenue Eski Tarsi Street, at the intersection with Touran Street Kleanthi Kalogera Street, at the intersection with Pavlou Valsamaki Street Section of Pavlou Valsamaki Street, up to Nikolaou Rossou Street

In the Paphos district, a carnival parade is being organized on Sunday by the Akamas Municipality, on Coral Bay Avenue in Peyia. Due to the parade, a section of Coral Bay Avenue will be closed, from the intersection with Agios Georgios Avenue, to the intersection with Akanthou Street. The Municipality of Nicosia is also organizing a carnival parade on Sunday. The parade will be held on Kyrenia Avenue, in Aglantzia, which will be closed to traffic. According to the Municipality of Nicosia, for the movement of citizens on the north side and in the lanes north of Kyrenia Avenue, the detour from Akadimias Avenue to Kentavrou Street and respectively from Andrea Nikolaou Street to Trooditissis Street will be used. Regarding the movement on the south side of Kyrenia Avenue, the route through RIK Avenue - Thessaloniki Street - Egnatia Street - Karavas Street and vice versa will be used.
